1969 20' rebuild
Thanks to everyone who posts their builds for inspiration to start mine. I bought this hull from a family friend 9 years ago and have been reading through threads here and staring at it since. After moving it to three different houses i finally feel like i can get started. I have a 72 19' mako ive owned for the past 12 years and that's due for a rebuild as well, so i figured id tackle this one first and still have something to get out on the water.
Pulled the motor off this weekend and got her set on a cradle i can roll around. Ill be starting some demo this week and into the weekend. i dont plan on re using the gunnel rails or the console so if anyone is interested let me know. Im located in South Jersey |

Thanks, the ability to make some heavy lifts is helpful for sure. Made a little headway tonight removing the console and fuel tank with about 30 gallons of 16yr old gas in it.

Captain Crabcake, I bought glass supplies from Barnegat Light Fiberglass Supplies in West Creek. It’s been a few years since my project, but they were helpful.

Looking forward to following another project. If you have the splash-well cover and want to part with it I may be interested, thanks.

Got the boat in the shop today. Took some initial measurements and started pulling off hardware I want to re use. See pic for measurements. Are there any other important dimensions I should take note of before I start cutting? Can anyone tell me if some of this hardware is original from the factory? They say Lee’s Miami on them.

Most of the original hardware was by Mardium for the haws pipes and cleats anyway I’m sure the outrigger holders at least would have been an option. With Lee’s being from Miami they would likely have sourced rod holders from them as they were quality pc’s then and today
