gas issues
Whats the consensus guys. My boat wont take gas. Even at $5 a gallon.I have to put it in really slow(painfully) or else it backs up. My first thought was that the vent must be clogged and I've tried several tricks to clear it but no luck. Please give some tips before I have to remove the leaning post and take up the hatch and so forth. Thanks

Try running a snake through the line. I had a mud dobber do the same thing to me years ago..
Assuming you tried an air compressor first. Keep us posted.

Yeah I tried it but it didnt work. I'll try again when it warms up some. Just wondering if there's any other tricks that I havent thought of. I cant imagine the gas hose is blocked somehow? Any more thoughts ?

Previously had a boat with just a slight belly in the vent line which was enough resistance to venting that the fuel would back up. Routed vent hose with additional support so no chance of retaining fuel and no issue after that.

You can blow air through the vent to see, but remove the gas cap as to not pressurize and feel / hear air coming out.
