Howdy folks. Just bought a 1977 SC 23' Scepter and will be doing a full restoration on the boat.
Just finishing up my Cabo build so it might be a few weeks before I get started but thought I would introduce myself and start reading about all the good things y'all have done to these boats. |

Welcome to classic seacraft....I’ve never been on a Cabo but I have a feeling you will be noticing a significant difference in ride quality with the scepter. I looks like the gel coat is in good shape. What do you have planned for the boat?

Oh man... another rebuild? You are a glutton for punishment!
I followed your Cabo build on the other site, great job, looking forward to seeing what you do with the SeaCraft. |

I did some modifications to the Cabo and haven't really figured out what is warranted on the SC yet besides raising the deck and creating a ginormous bilge with easy access to everything. I'm not here to promote my Cabo build but if you're curious it's on The Hull Truth under the same username. Really want to spend some time researching past restorations to see what I like, what makes sense, and what overall improvements can be made while keeping the original character and performance of the boat intact. It'll definitely be enclosing the transom and adding a bracket as well as a hard top but that's as far as I've gotten in the planning stages thus far. Here's a couple examples of before and after on the Cabo. I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to this stuff. Edit... not sure why my pics are turning on me when uploaded. |

I seen your Cabo rebuild on the THT. I frequent there but do not post much anymore. You will find that most people do not raise the deck on the 23 it’s not necessary especially if you’re putting a flotation bracket you can just reroute the scuppers out the back and be just fine....but do as you wish. Note the word “flotation”

Does anyone have a picture of the folding stairs for bow access? Trying to see if the PO has them and she doesn't know what she's looking for. TY

There are a few pics on the literature pages:
Look at Tsunami - http://www.classicseacraft.com/broch...ure/index.html Look at p4 - http://www.classicseacraft.com/broch...ure/index.html Remember to say that they fold up 'kinda' flat - it's just white plastic pieces like 2x4s with hinges |
